Election Days ---Egypt 2011

Egypt election 2011 was a great experience for me, not the first in my life as many Egyptians but the best. I always had a voting ID card, I used it once in my life but it wasn't a pretty experience since all previous elections were not transparent or representing the real vote of Egyptians.

I voted in Cairo, New Cairo area. I went the first day at 8:00 am and it was a big line more than 500 people waiting for the doors to open and the number kept increasing and increasing as the doors didn't open on time.

the reasons varied from late judge to late clerks....finally voting started by 11:00 am and elderly started first and it continue very slow and small numbers till I finally managed to vote at 2:30 PM......!!!!

I was very exhausted and tired and I have to go take my wife to vote in another location and when arrived it was very long lines so we decided to wait till the evening.....we went again at 6:30 pm and it tokk her one hour to finish and here we go.....first voting experience in the new Egypt

My first day

My first day in life , something I always thought about. I know when I was born but did I add any thing to this world? I always dreamed that I will add something to mankind but the only thing I did manage to add is two kids.
Life is a strange series of events starts with the day you were born and since this day you have no control over it.
How really you can control your life? If anyone manage to answer this question please let me know.
It is kind of depressing when you think about it that way but it is the way it is.

P.S I don't even know why I am writing this in the night from the middle of the Sahara desert. How I ended up in this place?
